A son of Derby winner Australia and a half-brother to this year’s two-year old Defiance, who was sixth in the Royal Lodge and has a rating of 101. The stallion has a solid record of producing tough, progressive horses that stay well and is therefore a sire well-suited to our model.

The stallion has produced the resilient Broome, who was fourth in The Derby and has earned over £2m, the St Leger winner and third (Galileo Chrome and Sir Ron Priestley) and Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Order of Australia. He currently has Anzac Day who has entered the picture for next year’s Derby after an impressive maiden win at Newmarket in October.

This is a strong, well-made colt with plenty of scope and an excellent attitude. He should follow a similar time frame to his half-brother. Looking ahead, the dam is a half-sister to a horse that performed at the highest level in Australia, so he should be an easy horse to market to that jurisdiction when the time comes.
